Data Chunks Placement Optimization for Hybrid Storage Systems

“Hybrid Cloud Storage” (HCS) is a widely adopted framework that combines the functionality of public and private cloud storage models to provide services. This kind especially ideal for organizations seek reduce cost their infrastructure with use “Public as backend on-premises primary storage. Despite higher performance, hybrid has latency issues, related distance bandwidth storage, which may cause significant drop in performance systems during data transfer. issue can become major problem when one or more nodes fail. In this paper, we propose new optimizing uploading process currently used systems. The optimization concerned spreading over multiple storages HCS system according some predefined objective functions. Furthermore, also Network Coding technics minimizing transfer between receiver (private storages) transmitter nodes.
